My anxiety has been doing OK the last few months, but recently it started acting up again. I actually had two panic attacks just this month. I decided that I need to do something to relax me. Something to distract me from my anxious thoughts. So I took up scrap booking! It is so much fun! I love going to Hobby Lobby and picking out everything for each page. It is so great to see each page come together and tell a story!
The only problem with scrap booking is that it doesn’t take up a lot of my time. I can only buy a limited amount of supplies each week and I have to wait a while for my pictures to arrive. It takes me just under an hour to finish one page. It isn’t something I can do every day.
That is why I tried blogging. I have only been blogging for three days now and it is already proving to be very therapeutic. I love being able to tell my stories and not actually have to socialize with people. It is peaceful. I also love being able to relive my cherished memories as I write blog posts about them.
Blogging is something I can do at home, at the park, in my car, at work…I can do it almost anywhere. When my anxiety flairs up, I can just write a post. I can write about a happy memory and it immediately makes me feel calm again. I’m excited to see where this new hobby takes me.
