My anxiety has been doing OK the last few months, but recently it started acting up again.  I actually had two panic attacks just this month.  I decided that I need to do something to relax me.  Something to distract me from my anxious thoughts.  So I took up scrap booking!  It is so much fun!  I love going to Hobby Lobby and picking out everything for each page.  It is so great to see each page come together and tell a story!

The only problem with scrap booking is that it doesn’t take up a lot of my time.  I can only buy a limited amount of supplies each week and I have to wait a while for my pictures to arrive.  It takes me just under an hour to finish one page.  It isn’t something I can do every day.

That is why I tried blogging.  I have only been blogging for three days now and it is already proving to be very therapeutic.  I love being able to tell my stories and not actually have to socialize with people.  It is peaceful.  I also love being able to relive my cherished memories as I write blog posts about them.

Blogging is something I can do at home, at the park, in my car, at work…I can do it almost anywhere.  When my anxiety flairs up, I can just write a post.  I can write about a happy memory and it immediately makes me feel calm again.  I’m excited to see where this new hobby takes me.

I am so glad to hear you find blogging helpful. It is a great to be able to try out what you are feeling and not worrying about having to explain yourself! You can write whatever you want and get everything out! While I am sure scrap booking is fun, blogging can be just as helpful. I get all my pictures from Shutterfly and they are normally really fast. I have way too many pictures! Through blogging for the 3 months or so I have been, I have met SO many amazing people that really understand me more than any of my friends, co workers or even family.

Sometimes, it is okay to not be okay and write all about it. It really helps to be able to understand what is going on and learn how to handle it. I am a VERY anxious person and it causes SO much stress in my life. It is frustrating but I am trying. All my anxiety and stress has caused too many issues for me but causing a bad flare up with my MS. Please know anything you write will never be judged and people really try to help. I will always be here to try to help and you can even email me directly if you need to vent! I am good at trying to help and just listen or should I say read! My email address is alyssabowman81@gmail.com.

I hope you have a great evening!! Take care my dear!!!

Thank you so much! It is so nice to have someone who understands somewhat what I go through! I am inspired by your journey with MS. I have read all of your blog posts and you are a very inspirational kind person. Thank you for your kind words! My husband doesn’t understand what I go through but he is extremely good at calming me down and comforting me. However, it is still refreshing to know I’m not alone and other people have problems with their anxiety as well.
