Ideas for a Tasteful/Appropriate Bachelorette Party…

I have been to four bachelorette parties in my life.  And from these four I have been able to put together different ideas on how to throw a tasteful/appropriate bachelorette party.

I am not someone who enjoys going to bars to get drunk with friends and having a rager.  I don’t like the idea of having all the decorations being sex related and men’s “packages” thrown about.  That just isn’t me.  Nor is it any of my close friends.  So this post is for those of you who are in the same boat as me and you are either helping throw a bachelorette party for a friend like me, or you are giving your own bridesmaids ideas.

1.  Art N Crafts

Find something fun to do around town.  For my party, we painted pottery.  I painted a trophy for Matthew saying “#1 Husband”.  It was something I had never done before and was a lot of fun.

2.  Spa Day

Treat yourselves!  Go get facials with your gal pals.  Get your nails done.  Get massages.  It’ll be so good and relaxing just before the wedding.

3.  Themed Party at a House

The most recently party I went to was a spa theme at one of the bridesmaid’s houses.  We just spent time together doing our nails and facials while eating lots of yummy desserts!  The whole house was decorated for the bride and it looked gorgeous!

4.  Fancy Dinner

Sometimes just getting all dressed up and going to a nice place to eat with your girlfriends can be just what a bride needs.

5.  Go Somewhere Fun

For my party, we all went to Dave and Busters and played arcade games!  I had never been there before and it was a blast!  Doing something fun like laser tag can be a great way to release some energy.

5.  Quality Girl Time

At the end of my party we all sat around a bon fire and chatted.  The girls all mentioned their favorite memories with me, it was sweet.  At my sister’s party we all went out to eat and everyone got to chat there.  The first bachelorette party I had ever been to involved all the girls having a sleep over and just spending time together.  Those were my favorite moments.

There are so many other ways to have a tasteful bachelorette party.  I understand that some girls want to go all out and enjoy their last few moments of being single in style.  But there are also some girls who would like to keep it more low-key and just enjoy time with friends.  Hopefully this list is helpful for those of you who are stumped on how to plan a bachelorette party!

With Love,

Quiet Girl
