Move-in Date Moved…

This week was supposed to be move-in week.  I was excitedly looking forward to packing up my things and moving them into our house.  We were going to have a “cleaning party” on Friday to get the house move-in ready.  Then we were going to use the weekend to get everything moved.  However, that will no longer happen this week.

Apparently there was a miscommunication between a few people we are working with to buy this house.  The appraiser was not scheduled on time so the move-in date was pushed back to July 10th.  That isn’t too far away, but it potentially creates another problem.  There is a possibility that we will have to pay more for our closing costs and pay interest everyday of the month of July.  I guess it is ideal to close at the end of the month, not in the middle.  So our move-in date might get pushed back even further.  Which is far less than ideal because July is the last month on our lease for our apartment so we will have to hurry to clean and move out at the last minute.

It is a very discouraging process to go through, so in order to remain positive and thankful throughout this process, I have made a bullet journal dedicated to writing down five things I am thankful for daily and my devotionals.  This will remind me of how blessed I am and hold me accountable for doing my devotions.

I am very creative and I love to express that creativity in different ways.  A bullet journal was something I have always wanted to do.  It seems so relaxing and fun!  I am not a great artist at all, but hopefully I will become better with practice!

Today I am thankful for:

  1. my husband
  2. my family
  3. my friends
  4. a place to live
  5. my job

I will come up with five new things that I am thankful for every day of the week.  It is such a great habit to get into to count your blessings.  It improves your self-esteem, reduces stress and anxiety, and overall makes you happier throughout your day.

I hope you all have a blessed week!

With Love,

Quiet Girl
