2019 New Year’s Goals

Happy New Year!

I can’t believe 2018 is already over!  It was such an amazing year filled with so many wonderful moments and memories.  This year I hoped on the trend and came up with a word for 2019: ORGANIZE.

Organization does not come easily to me.  I have to try very hard to stay organized.  I know that if I follow my goal of being more organized, I’ll be able to achieve my other goals for this year too.

Spend time with the Lord every day.

This year I want to stay on top of my daily devotions.  Obviously this will be very hard to do if I am not organized and don’t plan time to read the Bible and pray.  I have a notebook that has 365 pages in it and I am using it to hold myself accountable.  Each day I’ll write down the date on a new page and take notes on the devotional I am doing.

Bettering my mental health.

My anxiety has been getting worse lately.  I even had a couple of panic attacks in December.  This year I want to work on my mental health.  My first two steps to helping me with my anxiety is to be more organized to avoid getting overwhelmed and to read the Bible more which will give me peace.  I am also going to get on social media less.  I spend so much time on my phone that I procrastinate doing everything else.  I want to do less of that which means I’m going to be putting my phone down more.

Stop procrastinating.

If I want to achieve any of my new year’s goals, I need to stop procrastinating.  I am the queen of procrastination.  Hence my graduation cap, “Last minute, like everything else I did in college”.  I am utilizing my bullet journal to help me with this goal.  One of my bullet journal pages has household chores and when to do them.  I am going to keep up on those chores and check them off as I do them.  I am also going to keep myself busy with home renovations, decorating, and hobbies instead of sitting around on my phone because that is what leads to me procrastinating!

Basically, this is just the year of bettering myself.  I want to be healthier and more productive.  I am so excited to see what 2019 has to offer!  It has to offer a whole lot to top getting engaged and married (2017) and getting a house and dog (2018)!

Hope you have a wonderful 2019!

With love,
